The idea for Alignment Bookkeeping came from watching several people I care about try to juggle their small businesses and other life commitments. I am a helper by nature, so I wanted to know what I could do to make their lives less complex. I’d help with a project here and there, but was always drawn to the financial side, particularly if it was a mess! Having dabbled in bookkeeping and with a background in Family Economics, I knew it was time to take the next step and learn everything I could about bookkeeping for small businesses.
And here we are! Alignment to me is about finding balance in all areas of your life. Balance—a word that is overused at the moment, but I believe it’s attainable. And one way it can be done is to take parts of your business that you either aren’t interested in (common) or don’t have time for and find a professional to handle it for you.
